Back to School

Dear Parents,

Thank you for a wonderful start of school! The students are adjusting well to their classes. If you have any questions about your child’s class, you may ask the teacher or the school office.

We have started Chapel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8:45 a.m. if you would like to attend. Birthday blessings are usually the week of your child’s birthday on a Tuesday. You are more than welcome to come on any Tuesday or Wednesday to Chapel!

Please save the date of our annual Disney Dance! The dance will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. This annual family dance fundraiser is a FUN event for fellowship with other parents and students. We have a DJ playing dance music along with a video of songs of Disney favorites. You will also learn the famous Chicken Dance! Don’t miss the FUN!

As a reminder for all parents, tuition is due the first week of the month. If you have any questions or concerns, please see the office so that we may help you and your child make a smooth transition into the school year.

Thank you,
Janet Manfull

P.S.
Thank you for getting your child to school on time each day!

Hearing and Vision Test

Metroplex Educational Testing will come out to our school to give hearing and vision testing. If your child has not had their hearing and vision tested, they may do so on this day or you may have your pediatrician do the testing and bring in an updated shot and hearing & vision test record when you have the yearly checkup.

Please turn in all shot records for new students and update shot records for returning students at this time.

Spanish Classes

Spanish classes have started for PRK 4, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade!

Xochitl Ross will be teaching Spanish to Ms. Sallee’s, Ms. Carroll’s, Ms. Sullivan’s, and Ms. McKay’s classes. She is also our PreK 2 teacher and taught last year at Wesleyan as an aide.

Xochitl has her Early Childhood Development Associate (CDA) Credential and has taught at Preston Hollow UMC and Oak Lawn UMC. Xochitl has two sons, Leland and Larkin, who also attend Wesleyan. Her husband, Owen, works for the United Methodist Church Conference. Wesleyan is excited to have Xochitl teaching our spanish classes!
