The Elementary Program

Time of class day- 8:30am -3:15pm

Before and After Care is available at an additional fee.

The Elementary Program begins with Kindergarten and continues through fifth grade. Your child will flourish and develop a self-confident spirit as we continue to build basic skills through our core curriculum, which is enhanced through the study of music, physical education, computer lab and Spanish. Student life includes chapel four days a week, periodic field trips and required uniforms.

The curriculum for our elementary includes Houghton Mifflin Engish/Language Arts/ Spelling and Social Studies. Our teachers use Houghton Mifflin Texas Math with the TEKS objectives. The Science curriculum includes Scott Foresman text books and lab materials. A Science Fair is held every spring for the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Benchmark, progress reports and assessment tests are given by the teachers as well as four (4) nine week report cards.

Sample classroom schedules are available with a class parent packet, handbook and conduct behavior policy. You are most welcome to request a visit with a teacher to inquire about specific information about class procedures, homework and grading policies.

The Elementary students wear the Wesleyan uniform Monday through Friday. Please see the Spirit Store for more information about the Lands End polo type shirt with the Wesleyan logo. Friday is free dress day.
